what is the differences between XML web service and WCF?

Your web says that QBM uses WCF, and not XML web service.  I would like to know the differences between these two technologies.

What are the benefits for users?

Re: what is the differences between XML web service and WCF?

Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is newer than XML web service.  A newer technology is always better for businesses, because bugs that are in the older technology are fixed in the newer technology and many other features are added. One problem with XML web service could be that it only communicates with XML but WCF can also communicate with binary.  Communication with binary is faster and the performance increases rapidly. Because QBM is the only app at this time to use WCF, it can communicate over the internet faster than ever.  I have observed that you feel that the other server is next to you in the other building even though the server is mile away. The performance of QBM is amazing if it comes to internet.
